I made this card this card today and listed it for purchase on my Etsy site.  It is so sweet.  The colors are perfectly masculine.  It would also be perfect for that chemistry buff in your life.  The heart on the beaker is glittered red and the sentiments read, “there’s chemistry between us” and “let’s experiment together”.  The images are from a great little company called There She Goes Clear Stamps.  Their images are so funky and cute.  I also entered this card into “I Heart Projects” Linky Party on the blog Itsy Bitsy Paper.  There are some really great projects there.  So many projects, so little time.

I just received  my order from A Muse Studio that had all my valentine stuff in it.  I couldn’t wait to start playing with it so last night I stayed up and created a few things.  This was one of them.  Isn’t it adorable?  It was very easy and simple.  The hardest part was not opening the chocolate bar to eat it.   I wrapped the bar in one of the papers from A Muse’s Sweetheart Cardstock Assortment pack.  Then stamped the clock from Quick and Cute Valentines (which is, by the way, one of the sets on sale in this months Spotlight Promotion).  I colored the clock with my Copic markers and placed Heart Twinkle stickers on the pendulums, then adhered it to the bar.  I tied ribbon and baker’s twine around the bar and added 2 heart beads.  Easy little gift for a friend you are “cuckoo” over.

I am in the Valentine mood already.  I know, I know… the Christmas holiday has just passed.   I need to relax.  I don’t know what it is.  Maybe it it the mild weather we are having here in the midwest… no snow and temperatures in the mid 50′s.  Whatever the reason, I dug out my valentine papers and made this cute card.  The patterned cardstock is from Brenda Walton’s Sweet Talk by K and Company.  I got the owl from the sheet of the the die cuts that are included in the stack.

My lovely friend and paper artist, Lesley Retherford sent this Christmas card to me for the holiday season.  I just had to post it.  She used the A Muse Studio set Naughty or Nice.  It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the red cardstock base is stamped in red with the hat stamp and the fur on Santa’s jacket is flocked in white.  I LOVE this card.  Thanks, Lesley!!

I loved making this simple little Christmas card.  I used the stamp set Holy Night and craft cardstock from A Muse Studio. The patterned cardstock is from the Reece collection from The Angel Company (retired).  The card base measures 4-1/4 x 11 inches and is folded at 1 inch on the right side and 4-1/2 inches on the left.  It is hard to tell in the photo but the star is hi-lighted with glitter.

The American Girl events were phenomenal!  The activities were fabulous!  But I think the high light for us mothers was meeting the authors.  We are both avid readers and are raising our daughters to be the same way.  I am always amazed at the talent of authors… to take you to places you’ve never been and to introduce you to characters that broaden your imagination.  This is the author of Good Luck, Ivy.  As you can see Ivy is one of Anne’s dolls.  Lisa Yee has also written several other AG books.  You can visit her blog here.  She even pictured my girl friend and I on her blog.  How cool is that!

Another author that was present was Valerie Tripp.  She wrote several of the historical character novels (Felictiy, Kit, Molly, Josephina…).  Which are my favorite.  If they would’ve had these dolls when I was little I would have had Felicity.  I LOVE her stories.  A graciouse, sweet lady.

We also got to meet Mary Casanova.  She has written stories for the girl of the year dolls… Chrissa, Jess and this years 2012 doll McKenna.  All 3 ladies were so warm, gracious and kind.  They took the time individually and answered so many questions.

The food was amazing!  Here we are at our Thanksgiving dinner.

There was also a room set aside called the American Girl Lounge where girls could lounge around reading and doing crafts.

The last event was the American Girl’s 25th Birthday Celebration.  That cake was so huge!  The cupcakes were so yummy.  There were also treats and dancing.  The final gift was also revealed… each girl was receiving the 2012 Doll of the Year, McKenna!  You should have heard all the squeals and screams.

Here is one final picture of the girls with all their loot.  Thank goodness we each brought an extra suit case and that AG gave us another one.   Well, it’s hard to believe it is all over.  The week went by so fast… too fast.
